European Parliament vote

With this decision, the document, based on the European Commission's proposal COM(2008)0583, has now taken a decisive step. In the legislative process, it will now be referred back to the Commission President who will pass it to the Council for the final formal agreement. The ISA programme has a provisional budget of € 164.1 million.

For SEMIC.EU, this decision represents a major acknowledgement. It opens up perspectives for intensified efforts in bringing about interoperability solutions for public administrations on all levels over the coming years. The adopted text stresses the importance of pan-European cooperation and defines interoperability as a key to better administration across Europe.
