The objectives of the “Better Papers for Better Printing” project are
- to define conformance and testing requirements for cut size, uncoated, free sheet paper that ensures optimal printing performance on inkjet and dry electrophotographic printers,
- to establish a certification program that will enable paper manufacturers to certify paper that meets the program requirements, and
- to allow paper manufacturers to make use of the program logo on the packaging and other marketing materials related to certified paper
The project may make deliverables available here for public comment

Membership in the project is open to companies that have a significant line of business in the manufacture of ink-jet or dry electrophotographic printers.
