Although enterprises are increasingly breaking down departmental boundaries and working more closely with their customers and suppliers, their efforts are frustrated by IT systems that do not support secure access to integrated information wherever and whenever it is needed.

If this statement resonates with you, membership in The Open Group is for you. You will discover that you are not alone. You will meet others who are trying to address the same issues. You will be able to examine in-depth case studies, share best practices, and explore new methods and approaches that have proved effective in other organizations. The Open Group members span all sectors of the IT community and include some of the largest and most influential organizations in the world. The buy-side members alone have combined budgets of over $50 billion per annum. But the flexible structure of membership in The Open Group allows for almost any organization, no matter what its size, to join and have a voice in influencing the future of IT.
