TOGAF™ practitioners pass the 10,000 milestone! The number of certified individuals reflects the "tremendous efforts" of certified practitioners, trainers and Architecture Forum members "to reduce risk, expedite change and create closer links between IT and business".

We welcomed three more new members in September: Graphic Mining Solutions International (South Africa) as a silver member in the Exploration, Mining, Metals and Minerals Vertical Forum (EMMMv); and Arivia.kom (South Africa) and Anywhere s.r.o (Czech Republic) as silver members in our Architecture Forum

The latest Open Group member spotlight focuses on Paul van der Merwe, COO of Real IRM and chair of the Architecture Forum, who has been involved with The Open Group since 2007.


We welcomed five more new members in the last week of July: GijimaAst Holdings (Proprietary) Ltd (South Africa) and Energy Consulting / Corporate IT Solutions (Russia) joined as silver members within the Architecture Forum; Sparx Systems (Australia), already a member of the Architecture Forum, additionally joined the ArchiMate® Forum; General Dynamics C4 Systems (US) joined DirecNet™; and Cellcrypt Limited (UK) joined the Jericho Forum.

Open Group members - who tackled issues of the enterprise use of Cloud Computing at our London conference - prepare to carry them forward in Toronto.

The Open Group has been pleased to welcome four new members since the beginning of May: Apollo Group, Inc. (USA) and JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) (UK) as Gold members; and OFFIS (Germany) and Mainline Information Systems (USA) as members of the Architecture Forum. "Coming soon: The ultimate industry architecture" Computerworld reports that the hotel industry is the first to be applying enterprise architecture concepts across an entire industry. Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), a global consortium of the industry's major stakeholders, has released the first version of its business process architecture which uses The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF™).Read the article

The Open Group welcomed two more new members at the end of April: Biner Consulting (Sweden) and Enterprise Architects Pty Ltd (Australia) which have both joined the Architecture Forum.They, together with MIC Business Solutions, Inc. (USA), eflow.Inc (Japan), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Soluta.net (Italy) bring to seven the number of new members joining The Open Group in the second half of the month.

The Open Group has now welcomed three new members in March - Van Haren Publishing in the Netherlands, the Department for Children, Schools and Families in the UK, and the University of Muenster, Germany, all of which have joined our Architecture Forum.

The Open Group welcomes three more new members - Domus Technica BV, Netherlands, as a member of the Jericho Forum, the USA's Rockwell Collins which has joined our Real-time and Embedded Systems Forum, and the Department for Children, Schools and Families in the UK, which has joined our Architecture Forum.
