Placing an order online
To purchase an item online, click on the Buy now link.
Then select the applicable shipping and sales tax option,
and add the item into your shopping basket. If you encounter
problems "checking out", please ensure you have
enabled your browser to accept cookies from paypal.com. After
you submit your payment, you will be automatically redirected
back to The Open Group’s site to confirm your contact
number for delivery.
Placing an order offline
To purchase an item offline,
click download an order form, fill out, and submit either
by fax at: (415) 276-3760, or by regular mail at: The Open
Group, 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 960, San Francisco, CA
94104-4704, USA.

freely available for download
Many of our electronic publications can be downloaded
free-of-charge; selected publications are free to The Open
Group members only. All free publications are clearly marked.
Note
about corrigenda
The Open Group may need to issue
formal corrections to a technical standard or other publication
from time to time. A List of corrigenda is provided. If
a corrigendum applies, a clear indication is given in the
relevant catalog entry for that publication. You should
be aware that corrigenda may be applied to the electronic
version of a publication. If so, this will be documented
in the preface.

If you experience an error during online checkout, please
verify that you have enabled cookies in your browser for paypal.com.
If you are using American Express Corporate Card, please either
order via fax or use a different credit card. American Express
has decided to decline corporate card transactions through
PayPal. For any other problems, please feel free to email us.

Payment options
We accept VISA, MasterCard/EuroCard,
Discover, American Express, Switch and Solo.
We currently use PayPal* for secure processing of all electronic
payments. Please note that at this time, the only PayPal
transactions American Express accepts are transactions where
a personal card is used; all corporate card PayPal transactions
are declined. If you wish to pay with American Express Corporate
Card, please submit your order by fax. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.
Shipping
charge and local taxes
The shipping rate depends on your delivery location:
- delivery within the 48 United States continental states
(US),
- delivery within the United Kingdom (UK), or
- delivery
outside of both the US and UK. The specific shipping
charge applicable to your order will be displayed before
you add the item in your shopping basket.
Depending on your location, a local sales tax may be applicable.
Hard copy publications are zero rated for Value Added Tax
(VAT) in the EEC, including the UK. CD-ROMs, license plates
and electronic publications are liable to VAT in the EEC.
US state taxes are applicable where the delivery address
for the publications is in California (7.25%) or Massachusetts
(5%). The state taxes do not apply to the postage and packing/shipping
charges.
Shipping
methods and times
Most of the orders are shipped from the UK. We aim to dispatch
items within 5 working days as long as you provide a contact
phone number for delivery. Unless noted on the item, we use courier shipments within
the US and outside the UK, and recorded delivery
within the UK .
Courier shipments reach most destinations within 72
hours of dispatch.
